In recent years, signal audio processors in the touring sector and beyond have gained significant popularity, largely due to the availability of advanced technologies at relatively affordable costs. The key is to create a product that has what is truly needed, and delivers those functions simply and effectively. As always, Helvia aims to do so while keeping an eye on the budget.
The HELVIA SoniX 4800F fully embodies these characteristics, offering everything required for advanced signal management and processing.
It is a 4x8
processor designed to provide maximum flexibility in both fixed installations
and live applications, combining power, accuracy, and ease of use in a single
compact unit.

The sleek front panel highlights only the essential elements for direct interaction: dedicated Mute buttons, LED VU meters, a front USB port, a 2" full-color TFT display, and an intuitive data entry selector. All connectivity is concentrated on the rear panel, with balanced inputs and outputs and an RJ-45 port for LAN network management.
At the heart of the system is a fourth-generation SHARC processor, 32-bit/400 MHz, paired with 24-bit AD/DA converters with sampling rates up to 192 kHz. This combination ensures transparent audio quality and top-tier signal processing. The matrix configuration enables flexible assignment of the four inputs to the eight outputs, allowing users to build complex audio architectures in a simple and immediate way.
The entire
system can be controlled directly from the panel or through dedicated Windows
software, able to connect via USB or LAN network. The management software
stands out for its clear and functional user interface, which visually
represents every signal path within the unit. With just a few clicks, users can
intervene on a wide range of parameters and optimize each section of the
system.

On the
inputs, beyond standard controls such as level, mute, phase, grouping, routing,
and multiband EQ, advanced features include automatic feedback cancellation
with six intervention levels, a 3-band dynamic equalizer, and a fully
configurable FIR filter with the ability to import personalized intervention
curves. The eight outputs feature a comprehensive control section including a
15-band graphic equalizer, HPF/LPF filters, IIR and FIR filters, as well as
compressor and limiter for dynamic management. Each channel has delay
adjustment up to 1200 ms, ensuring precise time alignment even in extremely
complex systems.

Completing the package, the SoniX 4800F offers 32 fully programmable user memories that can be recalled from either the front panel or control software, enabling instantaneous switching between different operating configurations.
With its
advanced architecture, flexible control options, and high audio quality, it is
an ideal solution for professionals who require reliable performance and
impeccable sound in any professional context.
