Helvia Poker: versatile and fully featured mixer-amplifiers

When working on commercial installations, hospitality venues or multi-area environments, versatility and ease of use are among the key requirements. The new Helvia Poker-240A and Helvia Poker-350A have been designed to perfectly combine and satisfy both needs. These are two 4-zone mixer-amplifiers with integrated DAB+ player, sharing the same design philosophy while addressing different power and operational headroom requirements.Poker mixers combine the nature of a mixer-amplifier with an integrated media player (DAB+ digital radio, FM tuner, USB, AUX and Bluetooth® streaming), offering a feature set specifically designed for installers and system designers looking for practicality without compromising flexibility.

Both models feature an amplification section engineered to operate with dedicated 70V 100 V for each zone.
This approach makes both units suitable for commercial, hospitality and corporate sound distribution systems, where signal routing must remain organised, scalable and easy to manage.

One of the most interesting aspects of the platform is the Mic/Line section management, based on 3 inputs that allow precise control over the balance between speech and background music. Mic 1 also includes a voice-over function with adjustable priority, ensuring announcements and service communications always remain clear and intelligible over the rest of the audio program. In addition, the units feature 2 paging station inputs and full compatibility with the HMX-MIC paging microphone, significantly expanding their application potential in environments where structured and controlled voice distribution is required.

As for integrated sources, the system includes a multimedia player supporting DAB+, FM, USB and Bluetooth 5.0, delivering a complete platform for audio playback without the need for additional external devices. The inclusion of the DAB+ module is particularly valuable, as it provides a stable and immediate digital source, especially useful in environments where radio broadcasting still plays a functional role within the audio program.

The mixer section also provides dedicated controls with independent volume adjustment, master level and 2-band EQ, allowing essential yet effective intervention on tonal balance and overall system management. This is complemented by microphone and line inputs with different sensitivity levels, including a front-panel priority input, particularly useful for announcements, service communications or emergency paging.

The main difference between the two models lies in their power reserve: the Poker-240A is better suited for medium-small environments or systems requiring more compact coverage distribution, while the Poker-350A offers greater headroom for more demanding installations, systems with a higher number of loudspeakers or applications requiring increased dynamic margin. In both cases, the availability of two power options allows more accurate system selection according to project requirements.

From an application standpoint, the Poker series is particularly aimed at shops, restaurants, hotels, exhibition spaces and professional environments where the audio system must be reliable, easy to manage and integrated into a single rack unit. It is precisely this combination of multi-zone operation, integrated media player and simplified control that makes these Helvia models a practical solution for modern and well-structured installations.
