Helvia OMNIS-100: super flexible multimedia player
Helvia - a Frenexport-owned brand – previews at ISE 2023 the new OMNIS-100, an All-in-One multimedia player capable of meeting any need in audio playback thanks to the variety of formats and sources supported and the incredible flexibility in connecting with the outside world.
OMNIS-100 not surprisingly takes its name from the Latin adjective 'Omnis' meaning 'any, of any kind, everything'. It is a rack module (43 cm wide) by one and a half units high (6.8 cm) that can be used as a stand-alone for a Hi-FI system or, via the flaps provided in the kit, inserted into a rack cabinet. It encloses within it all the technologies for remote connection via wireless network and Bluetooth as well as the physical connections provided by USB, LAN, RCA, optical and coaxial audio ports.

These features allow the OMNIS-100 to be used as a player for audio signals from various streaming sources such as Web Radio or Spotify or, thanks to the "BT Audio Streaming" function to connect directly to smartphones, tablets and laptops.
A DAB/DAB+/FM tuner with RDS function for additional information on radio stations is also included inside to complete the equipment.
The Wi-Fi antenna (included) or LAN connection also enables streaming audio playback in large rooms and remote control via smartphone or tablet using the Android/iOS App UNDOK. The unit can also be remotely controlled with the handy included remote control.
The OMNIS-100's front panel encapsulates all the simplicity, convenience and quality typical of Helvia products.
From left to right we find a USB socket, ON/OFF button, a bright central 2.4-inch color TFT display, four simple and well-maintained setup buttons, and an encoder for menu navigation so that even who is not an expert can manage and operate the module.
The rear panel offers robust connections with quality connectors that are durable even with heavy use.
The elegant cabinet with laser-etched silk-screening along with the many accompanying accessories are tangible proofs of the care and overall quality with which OMNIS-100 was conceived and manufactured.
