Helvia Deko-P256: Compact Dimensions, Discreet Installation and Application Versatility
In small and medium-sized audio installations, integrating loudspeakers into the surrounding environment without compromising sound quality is often one of the main design challenges. The Helvia Systems Deko-P256 series was developed with precisely this objective: to provide a compact solution for wall-mounted sound reproduction, combining a small footprint, minimalist design and installation flexibility.
At the heart of the system is a 2.5" full-range driver, designed to reproduce the entire frequency range assigned to the loudspeaker through a single transducer. The rated program power is 25 W at 8 ohms, while the frequency response extends from 150 Hz to 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 84 dB (1 W/1 m). These characteristics make the Deko-P256 particularly suitable for background music and speech reproduction in environments where discretion and listening quality must go hand in hand.

What distinguishes these loudspeakers is not only their compact size, but also the attention paid to architectural integration. The enclosure is made of UV-resistant ABS and features a streamlined design, complemented by an aluminium front grille. The two available finishes, black and white, make it possible to select the most suitable option for the environment, from commercial premises to hospitality spaces, as well as installations where the visual presence of audio components needs to remain as discreet as possible.
Particular attention has also been paid to the mounting system. The supplied wall-mount bracket allows the loudspeaker to be tilted vertically, while the circular base also enables horizontal adjustment according to coverage requirements. The mounting bracket incorporates cable routing, eliminating visible external connections and helping to maintain a clean and tidy installation.

From a system design perspective, an additional element of flexibility is provided by the integrated transformer for 70 V and 100 V constant-voltage lines, alongside the 8-ohm low-impedance operating mode. These two connection options allow the Deko-P256 to be adapted to different audio distribution architectures, from a single audio zone to configurations with multiple loudspeakers distributed throughout commercial and professional environments. This means that the choice of amplification system and connection topology can be tailored to the size of the installation and its operational requirements.
For applications requiring more extended low-frequency response, the Deko-P256 can be integrated with Helvia Systems active subwoofers, such as models from the LOUNGE and FLOOR series. Adding a dedicated low-frequency section allows the system's reproduction capabilities to be complemented, delivering a fuller sound, particularly beneficial for music playback. The choice of subwoofer and system calibration should naturally be determined according to the environment and the required sound pressure level.

Compact, lightweight and available in two colour options, the Deko-P256 loudspeakers are therefore worth considering when a project calls for an unobtrusive sound reinforcement system, flexible connection options and particular attention to installation quality. An approach that focuses not only on the loudspeaker itself, but also on its ability to integrate coherently into the surrounding space.
